At this point it is basically impossible to browse without a ad blocker. So many sites are filled with popups and ads that you cant actually see the content.
The only ad blocker i can recommend is Ublock Origin. It is one of the best working ones and the one i use.
Ad blockers also often block trackers trying to harvest your data and protect you from entering malicious websites.
Warning virtue signalling When you use an ad blocker you are making your personal data less valuable. If everyone were to use an ad blocker companies would no longer have an incentive to gather and sell your data.
